This 13-inch MacBook Pro (model MB990LL/A) also now includes Apple's innovative built-in notebook battery for up to 7 hours of wireless productivity on a single charge without adding thickness, weight or cost. Using Adaptive Charging and advanced chemistry first introduced with the 17-inch MacBook Pro the built-in battery delivers up to 1000 recharges before it reaches 80 percent of its original capacity--nearly three times the lifespan of conventional batteries.

The Apple MacBook Pro MB990LL/A has a very glossy screen surface. The glossy surface may provide a great viewing experience under optimum lighting conditions but under regular lighting conditions, it just reflects too much light. The battery on this Apple notebook is not removable and although it has a full-sized keyboard, it doesn't come with a number pad.

This laptop also uses the same big track pad, where the whole surface depresses like a button; however, you can also tap it like in a PC laptop once you enable that option in the settings menu. You can still use the multi-touch gestures, very useful in improving your productivity, once you get used to them. According to Apple, the new screen provides wider color gamut, and the display certainly looks colorful and bright. The 13.3" wide-screen LCD uses 1280x800 pixel native resolution and it is common for displays of this size. The LED display means better battery life through more economical energy usage and thinner lid. Unfortunately, the corner-to-corner glass covering the entire screen reflects lights quite easily, making the glossy screen difficult to see in certain lighting conditions.
